There are a few ways to get this update, but for me updating via the Autodesk Desktop App is the easiest.

For those that wish to download, you must log in to accounts.autodesk.com.

This update includes new functionality and updated functionality and content.

Some of the new functionality includes:

Add Property set Data to Labels

Analyze Gravity Networks

Swap Pressure Network Parts

The updated functionality includes:

New subassemblies

Autodesk Civil Data Translator ( for 2017)

Create 3D solids from Pipe Networks

Rail Turnouts and Crossings

Traverse Editor

Traverse Adjustment

Volumes Dashboard Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012Recently released at the Autodesk Subscription Center the "Volumes Dashboard Extension for AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2012" provides an easy way to keep track of earthwork volume calculations during the iterative processes of a project.

With this one interface users will be able to calculate, report and visualize surface volumes very quickly and painlessly.

This allows Civil 3D users to create solids from corridor subassembly shapes that will span corridor regions. This is very helpful for better visualization of the 3d nature of corridors and for use in other products (i.e. Navisworks for construction timelining and clash detection).

Be sure to watch the videos on the page to get a good understanding of how to best use this preview.
There is a checklist to understand what will be required, and considerations on what types of classes are sought. The deadline to submit proposals for classes is May 14, 2010.

I know many who have the ability to share their experience with others. This would not only elevate the entire Civil 3D user community, it helps build relationships which strengthens the community, as well. So, if you have been considering teaching at AU, I highly encourage you to start the process now. Follow the links, understand the requirements, and DO IT!

Be Better! ...TEACH!Angel Espinozahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04049237722834478795noreply@blogger.com0
