There have been four Skill Builders made available since I last mentioned them here in this blog. They are:
1. Sharing Corridor Assemblies in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 (April 2008)
2. Adding Cut and Fill Conditions to a Corridor Assembly (August 2008)
3. Analyzing Storm Sewer Data with the Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 (April 2009)
4. Using Dynamic GENIO Data with AutoCAD Civil 3D Shortcuts (? 2009)
If you are not familiar with Skill Builders, they help users increase their knowledge of Civil 3D by providing advanced, solution-oriented information that build on the foundation provided in the standard user documentation. They typically include a PDF file (instructions), and DWG file (practice data), and any other necessary files.

Skill Builder
I am not certain when this particular Skill Builder became available, but there is one available titled:
Managing an AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 Project with Autodesk Vault
This Skill Builder is a 20 page .pdf file that demostrates how to set up a AutoCAD Civil 3D project using Autodesk Vault, how to modify project structure with Vault, and contains some best practices.
For those that are just starting down this road this can be very useful. For others this can be a good refresher.

New Learning Method - Skill Builders
Autodesk has been reorganizing their website. While looking around I recently saw a NEW topic within the HOW-TO section. It is called Skills Builder.
Within this section Autodesk will provide Intermediate to Advanced training on specific segments of Civil 3D.
The first set available is for learning about Superelevations. There is a PDF (the exercise) and the dataset necessary to learn the topic.
To find Skill Builders click on the title of this post or find Skill Builders in the left column of this blog.
Note: I believe that I now have to fix a couple of links in the left column. If you should find any please drop me a note.
